Time Slots are a registration option that allows you to create multiple periods, or "slots" for a given event.
You might use Time Slots if your group had a shared resource or space you are trying to use, or if you were booking a number of classes for a particular day with limited seating.
To use Time Slots, check the Use Time Slot Selection checkbox. This will bring up the following menu:
When users go to register for your event, the menu will look like this:
The Time Slot Selection Label appears at the top of the menu, highlighted in green.
The Time Slot Generator provides a simplified way to create Time Slots with regular increments.
To use, select your start time and the time for the last slot, and then specify a time increment. If you have a limited number of seats per Time Slot, you can specify this with the remaining three fields.
The example shown below will create Time Slots that repeat every hour beginning at 10:00 am, ending at 8:00 pm. Once you're satisfied with the settings, click the Generate button to create your Time Slots.
If you would prefer to create things manually, you can add time slots by clicking on the Add a Time Slot button, highlighted in Red. For each Time Slot, you can specify a start time, how long the duration will be, the maximum number of registrants allowed, and the maximum headcount allowed in each particular slot.
When checked, the Admin Only checkbox will restrict a Time Slot such that registrations can only be created by an Admin. The Closed checkbox is automatically checked whenever registration for that particular Time Slot is closed, whether you have reached the maximum headcount or the registration time has passed. You can manually check this box to disallow registrations, or uncheck it to open them back up again.
If you would like to delete a time slot, click on the trash can icon on the far right of your Time Slot.
Finally, the last checkbox will allow your users to see the remaining seats available in each Time Slot.
